Starting August 31, Arte Abierto presents Temporal ventaja, an installation by Argentine artist Mauro Giaconi created specifically for the exhibition space at ARTZ.
At its center stands a large-scale stranded ship, its corroded hull marked by rust, a striking metaphor for the passage of time. The work invites visitors to pause, reconsider what they take for granted, and reflect on the fluid and ever-changing nature of truth and reality.
Through Temporal ventaja, Giaconi creates a moment of reflection within a world defined by disinformation and simulation. His installation suggests that fragility can become strength, and that imagination and uncertainty are essential tools to navigate contemporary life.
Inside the piece, audiences will also find other works that connect to Mauro’s artistic journey, where drawing and graphite expand into sculpture and installation, blending the material, the conceptual, and the sensory to blur the line between reality and fiction.
