Antara, finalist for the Global Award for excellence by ULI

May 18, 2016

Antara has been announced as a finalist for the Global Awards for Excellence prize awarded by the Urban Land Institute (ULI).

Established in 1936, the Urban Land Institute is a not-for-profit research institute dedicated to providing leadership in responsible land use.

One of the initiatives to achieve this goal was the creation of the Global Awards for Excellence, which recognize real estate projects that have achieved a high level of excellence in design, construction, budget, planning, operation, and management.

For this program, the ULI considers not only the design of the project but the whole process of development, including: its contribution to the surroundings, innovation in design, construction techniques, environmental protection, response to social needs, and many others.

Antara is one of 26 finalist projects from all around the world. It is a project that throughout its three phases has acted as the most significant trigger for urban development in the north-west of Mexico City, completely altering the urban context by transforming the former industrial zone that occupied the Granada district into the “New Polanco,” furnishing integration, value, urban regeneration, new uses and scales, together with green areas.

The group of winners will be announced in October at the ULI Fall Meeting in Dallas.
