Operations & Maintenance Supervisor (Arte Abierto Pedregal)

Support the Operations Department and Operations Coordination team in the execution, operation, and maintenance of the Foundation’s exhibition and Public Program projects, ensuring the proper functioning of its spaces and the appropriate care of artworks.

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical degree in Architecture, Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Museography, or a related field.
  • Courses or training in facility maintenance, exhibition production, civil protection, safety, or audiovisual systems.
  • Knowledge of preventive and corrective facility maintenance.
  • Experience supervising temporary and permanent installations.
  • Experience developing and monitoring maintenance programs.
  • Ability to manage and maintain operational logs and records.
  • Experience coordinating and following up with vendors and service providers.
  • Knowledge of exhibition installation and deinstallation processes.
  • Experience in the handling and care of artworks.
  • Experience in the operation and maintenance of exhibition spaces.
  • Ability to oversee technical requirements for exhibitions and Public Program activities.
  • General knowledge of civil protection procedures and regulations.
  • Knowledge of operational safety practices for spaces open to the public.
  • Experience implementing and monitoring safety protocols and plans.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency in Excel for operational controls, work schedules, and vendor management.
  • Ability to manage calendars, operational logs, and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and supervise temporary installations for exhibition projects and Public Program activities across Arte Abierto’s various spaces.
  • Install and operate audio and video systems required for the Foundation’s various projects.
  •  Work alongside the Operations Supervisor of Arte Abierto Polanco to coordinate exhibition and project installation processes, including installation follow-up, maintenance, and deinstallation.
  • Develop work plans for Arte Abierto’s various projects, including both project-specific planning and an annual schedule for exhibitions and Public Program activities.
  • Coordinate and oversee annual, monthly, and weekly maintenance plans for the facilities, exhibition projects, and permanent artworks, including vendor coordination, preparation of work plans, and management of operational logs.
  • Monitor and follow up on the specific safety plan for the permanent installation by artist Carsten Höller, including civil protection protocols and daily operational safety measures, in coordination with Antara’s security team.
  • Manage and monitor service agreements related to the operation of the spaces, including security, cleaning, visitor services, and other operational services.
