Investment Analyst / Associate

SOMA’s Investments team is seeking an Investment Analyst / Associate to support the analysis, evaluation, and execution of investment opportunities. The position will be involved in developing financial models, preparing executive presentations, conducting strategic analyses, and coordinating project execution. The role will work closely with internal teams, investors, and external advisors throughout the various stages of each transaction.

Who we are looking for 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, Financial Management, Engineering, Accounting, or a related field.
  • A graduate degree or specialization in Finance or Investments is preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, investment funds, or other financial institutions.
  • Advanced English proficiency (C1 level or above), with excellent reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience building complex financial models.
  • Experience preparing executive presentations for clients, senior management, or investment committees.
  • Experience participating in financial analysis, valuation, or transaction processes.
  • Experience in the real estate sector, real estate development, or investment management is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis, valuation, and financial modeling.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Highly organized, with a strong sense of confidentiality and a results-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop financial models to evaluate investment opportunities and business initiatives.
  • Prepare executive presentations for investment committees, investors, and senior management.
  • Conduct financial, commercial, and strategic analyses to support investment decision-making.
  • Independently manage projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Support acquisition, divestiture, financing, and other transaction processes.
  • Participate in financial due diligence and the analysis of relevant financial and operational information.
  • Support investor relations activities and prepare communication materials for investors.
  • Coordinate with external advisors, financial institutions, and internal teams throughout transaction processes.
  • Prepare investment performance reports and analytical materials as needed.
  • Maintain financial information and project documentation in an organized, accurate, and confidential manner.
